JAMES
P. BEARDSLEY, AIA has been a resident of Henderson County
since 1987 and has practiced architecture since returning in 1946 from
WW II; China Theater. As a principal of Beardsley & Beardsley,
Architects/ Engineers and successor firms Beardsley &
Beardsley, Cowden, and Glass, AE, P.C; now known as Beardsley
Design Associates in the Finger Lakes region of upper New York
State, he had a major part in the firm's growth over a period of forty
years before semi-retirement in 1986. While at Beardsley &
Beardsley, Jim served as chief administrator and project architect
during a growth period from a staff of fifteen to over forty five.

WORK
EXPERIENCE..................................................................................................
The
Office organization of Beardsley & Beardsley required each principal
to be responsible for the total building process of assigned projects
from initial client relations and concepts through delivery of the
Project. Each client had
the care and attention of a qualified professional through all work phases.
Large
projects included churches, nursing homes, hospital renovations, all
types of public schools, college dormitories, science and PE buildings,
and a major wood working plant. Large
projects ranged up to $25 million for a Veteran's Administration
Project. Numerous small
projects included convents and a rectory and an AT&T educational
center.
